You don’t require a college degree or university degree anymore. While I don’t recommend that you stop studying, it is not a bad idea to continue your studies. No matter what your grades are, the road doesn’t end once you’ve completed your studies and obtained your qualifications. Even if you don’t get high grades, it doesn’t mean that you are done. You can still learn to code online or at a Bootcamp and get into the tech world.

You want to become a developer

This is the place to go if you don’t have a tech background. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the information and content available. Although I may have been educated at University, my most recent education was in the private sector. BESTSkills can be learned by yourself. Anyone can do it if I can.

Although the road to success will be bumpy and long, if you can endure it (most people do), then you’ll be well on your way to a new career.

You will need a GitHub account to upload your projects to and you should create an account on freeCodeCamp and join the 100 days of code challenge so that you can create a timeline for your learning and also to keep yourself accountable.

Blogs

It is essential to blog. Not only is it a great learning tool, but you can also keep track of your progress and make it a part of your life. If you’re lucky, it can even turn into a passive income stream or side hustle.

This will provide you with so much motivation that you won’t lose heart and help you stay motivated. Twitter is home to thousands of developers, so there’s never a shortage of content or a lack of mentors.

LinkedIn is a must-have for developers and recruiters looking to find work.
